iniciated operations in 1931 as “Central American Air Transportation” on a single motor plane.
Taca developed a strategic alliance with the flag airlines of Guatemala (AVIATECA), Costa Rica (LACSA), and Nicaragua (NICA), TACA with a great period of operations between 1989 and 1995 under the new name of GRUPO TACA, thereby transforming the company into one of the most efficient transportation systems in Latin America.
Grupo Taca in 1998 started a full renovation of their fleet by purchasing brand new Airbus A-319 and A-320 aircrafts.
